The two main points that clarify the idea of enjoyment of the exhibition "WATER LINE" are given the geographical diversity and fragmentation. The artists involved in the project were chosen for the geography they inhabit. Geography understood as common land, where an academic discipline which cartography and topography, featuring the world's knowledge and determine the identity, membership or membership of birth and experience gained during the stay in these borderlands. The geography is seen as a body of knowledge specific and homogeneous, indicating an order to measure the land.
Contemporary art is working, then, through the exploration of the geography in the space between the subject and write reports. In this context, the works of art determine the geographic imagery and our relationship with the places, public spaces, the memories of belonging to or inherited, be they cultural, linguistic, historical and topographical.
The artists invited to the exhibition originate or operate in the border area between Italy and Slovenia, as the project's objective is to highlight the common heritage belonging to a territory and the different outcomes in the research of individual artists.
The exhibition will represent therefore a sort of verification, within a global culture of the links and influences of the area and local history on artistic research.
The title "Water Line" refers to the role of the Adriatic Sea in the approach of creative artists.

Friday, May 25 at 18.30, in the beautiful setting of Villa Liberty in Italy on the 8th University, was inaugurated the art exhibition "Artists in comparison" Enzo Dente and Gentile Polo.

The exhibition of painting and sculpture, sponsored by the Officers of Trieste, is organized by the Cultural Carpe Artem with the critical care of Monica Zaulovic.
And 'this year, in fact, that the prestigious Villa Italy, home of the Officers' Club of Trieste, in collaboration with other associations in the area, opens its doors becoming a stage for art and culture through a program of events titled "Appointment with the Muse."
"Artists in comparison" is the second exhibition organized by the Cultural Officers' Club at Carpe Artem, who first opened the recent exhibition hall of Villa Italy with the art collective "De mulieribus" and the conference on the psychological interpretation the works on display by White dell'arteterapeuta Of Jasio.
"Artists in comparison" is an exhibition for two voices, which investigates putting light on how artists make art. Tooth and Polo have in fact taken different artistic paths that led them to a vision and representation of reality far away, arriving at divergent stylistic choices.
Tooth, through the sculptures and paintings, presents the "line" that no complaint, no question, but causes a kind of melancholy emptiness. "Line" does not want to trace, but rather an idea, guiding the viewer into the cosmic dynamism, touching the mysteries of the unconscious and the infinite. Polo, for his part, expressed with precise and refined features of his paintings and face the daily bringing out a soft parallel with the artists of Northern Europe. However, the concept of loneliness, understood in its many exceptions, the dialogue blends of these artists seem so different.

The exhibition, open to the public, will be open from May 26 to June 9, 2012, daily except Sunday from 10 to 12 and from 16 to 20.
